We welcome everyone with an interest in meditation -- people of all identities, orientations and backgrounds.
The IMCW Family Mindfulness Program is a growing community of families aspiring to cultivate resilience, presence, compassion, connection and awareness amidst the highs and lows of everyday family life. We were established in 2000 by families, for families. Our classes, daylongs, and retreats aim to share the mindfulness toolkit to families, middle schoolers, and teens in practical and accessible ways that are relevant to families. Our program is based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Parents face multiple demands as caregivers and need time and space to recharge and renew. As every parent knows, we can’t drink from an empty glass. The parent program aspires to offer opportunities for self-care and community to parents and guardians who have an interest in meditation and the practices of mindfulness and compassion. We offer classes and workshops for parents to practice, learn, and grow together in safe, supportive community. We welcome all regardless of identity, orientation or background.
